Hi, I’m Sharon!

I have always found that I’m more consistent with moving my body if I commit to a morning yoga practice. If I leave it until later, it often doesn’t happen. Either something gets in the way, or my motivation decreases as the day goes on. Too many days like this, and my mood and energy suffer, and my body aches.

Even as a yoga teacher, my home practice is usually 30 minutes. Again, this helps me stay consistent, and feel the physical and mental benefits. Another great thing about morning yoga is that I make healthier choices the rest of the day.

I hear many people say that they would like to practice yoga, but they don’t know where to start, or they lack the time or energy for self-care. Many are struggling with stiffness, aches and pains or stress, anxiety, and low mood. Some are attending a weekly studio class, but don’t know how to create a home yoga practice. I also know many yoga teachers who are so busy teaching that their home practice suffers. 

I created the Morning Reset Zoom Membership because I know it will help you. Because feeling tired, achy, stressed, or low is not normal.

In the Morning Reset Zoom Membership, I love leading 30-minute morning Zoom yoga flow classes every weekday. They provide accountability and motivation, both for myself and for the members. Some people follow along with the Zoom replays at any time. The group is supportive, and I’m really enjoying building this community of people who like morning yoga as much as I do.

There are so many benefits to practicing yoga in the morning. My personal benefit is the mood boost I get from the morning routine and breath-based movements. You might have your own reasons for wanting a regular morning yoga practice. What’s Included?

Five 30-Minute Morning Yoga Classes Every Week

30 minute classes at home

The Morning Reset Zoom Membership is ideal if you have limited time. Each 30-minute class provides an even dosage of strength, mobility and flexibility, balance, and stamina through a range of postures and flowing sequences. You can even follow along to just the first 10 minutes (warmup and gentle sun salutations) before getting on with your day.

With a home yoga practice, you don’t need to leave the house: there’s no commute, and no childcare needed.

Although there are 5 classes a week, there is no pressure to attend them all. Sharon recommends aiming for 2 or more live (Zoom) or on-demand (Zoom replays) morning classes a week.

Morning Zoom yoga

There are many benefits to practicing movement- and breath-based yoga in the mornings. You’ll move, strengthen, and stretch your whole body. You’ll start your day feeling energised, create a daily yoga habit, reset your intentions, begin your day with positivity, and feel motivated to make healthy choices throughout the day.

Movement- and breath-based yoga

The Morning Reset classes are a mixture of slow flow sequences and stable postures, with particular attention to the breath, and alignment options for a range of abilities.

Each morning’s class provides a balanced practice as well as a slightly different physical focus (e.g. hip or shoulder opening, core strength, or twisting postures), giving you variety across the week.

Sharon starts each morning class with a standing warm up and gentle versions of sun salutations to link movement and breath, further warm the body, and stretch and strengthen all major muscle groups. You’ll then hold a series of standing and floor-based postures. You’ll end the practice with a few minutes of meditation to absorb the effects of the practice.

Live (Zoom) Classes Every Weekday Morning

Sharon leads the 30-minute yoga flow classes live on Zoom every weekday at 07:00 GMT (08:00 CET / 09:00 EET).

Showing up live in the mornings is a great way to create a regular morning yoga habit. The Zoom classes provide accountability and motivation. You can say “Good morning!” and ask questions at the end if you wish. (It’s totally okay to have your camera off though.)

If you are new to Zoom yoga, please be reassured: You don’t have to be a technical wiz, you don’t need much space or quiet, and you don’t have to be on camera if you don’t want.

On-Demand Classes (Zoom Replays)

Zoom replays are available so you can follow along whenever you like, including later in the day or at weekends. You can access the full and growing on-demand library of Zoom replays as soon as you join.

Note: Only Sharon is seen and heard in the recordings.

Weekly Theme Or Affirmation

Each week, there is a different theme or affirmation to set an intention for the class, the day, and the week. This encourages us to go beyond the ‘exercise’ aspect of yoga, and helps us to incorporate elements of yoga into daily life.

Community And Support

You’ll have access to a members-only Facebook group, and will also receive a weekly email from Sharon to update you about the upcoming week’s theme and any other membership news. Sharon will be there to help you with accountability, to answer questions, and to provide any support you need to make the most out of the membership.

Who is the Morning Reset Zoom Membership for?

Office worker: Whether you are a home worker or commuter, you want to start your day with a gentle movement-based yoga practice to improve your posture and clear your mind before sitting down at your computer.

How does it work?

Step 1: After purchasing the membership, Sharon will send you a Welcome email, usually within 24 hours (please check your spam folder). This will include details of how to register for live Zoom classes, access the Zoom replays, and an invitation to join the members only Facebook group.

Live (Zoom) Classes

Step 2: Download the (free) Zoom app on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Step 3: Click your access link to register for live Zoom classes. 

Step 4: You’ll receive a registration email and also a reminder email 30 minutes before the start time with a unique Zoom link.

Step 5: A few minutes before your morning Zoom class starts, click your invite link. You can choose to join with your camera on or off. 

Step 6: Just before starting the class, Sharon will mute everyone’s microphone. This is so you are not distracted by sounds in other people’s homes (e.g. a dog barking).

Option: Play some soft music to enhance your morning practice (this will not be heard by anyone else).

Step 7: Follow along as Sharon leads you through the day’s Morning Reset yoga class.

Step 8: At the end, you can choose to turn your microphone back on. Feel free to ask questions or discuss with Sharon how you are getting on.

On-Demand Classes (Zoom Replays)

Step 9: Click your access link to see the Zoom replay library. Sharon will aim to upload the videos on the same day. The recordings only include Sharon, and none of the participants will be seen. You will have access to the entire library of Zoom classes.

When does this membership start and finish?

The Morning Reset Zoom Membership is ongoing. Once you purchase, you have access to all membership benefits.

Is online yoga a good idea?

When the pandemic started, live yoga classes went online, and Zoom yoga became popular. Teachers and students could still meet, chat and practice yoga together.

As we get back to in-person classes, Zoom yoga is here to stay. There are many benefits of an online home yoga practice, especially in the mornings. There is no commute to and from the yoga studio, and no childcare needed. A bonus in the Morning Reset Zoom Membership is that recordings of all Zoom classes are available. Furthermore, practicing yoga with Sharon in the mornings will improve your energy and mood before you even start your day!

What time are the Zoom classes? Will it work for my time zone?

Sharon leads 30-minute Zoom yoga classes every weekday morning at 07:00 GMT (08:00 CET / 09:00 EET). If you are not in the United Kingdom, please adjust to your local time zone. (Search Google for a time zone converter.)

What if I’m unable to attend the classes live?

A yoga class 5 days a week sounds like a lot. What if I can’t attend every day?

The Morning Reset Zoom yoga classes are just 30 minutes, which is ideal for a regular home practice. Sharon recommends practicing 2 or more classes a week. Sharon designs these classes to be practiced live with her on weekday mornings, and attending live is great for accountability and motivation. However, if you prefer, you can access the Zoom replays at any time, including later in the day or at weekends.

Are there any classes at weekends?

Sharon leads the classes every weekday morning at 07:00 GMT (08:00 CET / 09:00 EET) on Zoom. You can also access the Zoom replays at any time, including weekends.

What yoga equipment do I need?

It is a good idea to have a yoga (sticky) mat – this prevents you from slipping and provides a soft surface. Other types of exercise mats might be too soft and/or not very grippy.

We’ll spend a little time sitting on the floor, so you might want to have a cushion or folded blanket handy – sitting with your hips raised higher can make your hips and knees more comfortable.

What do I need to wear?

You need loose comfortable clothing. PJs work well for morning yoga!

How much space do I need?

You just need enough space for your yoga mat and a little space around it.

What if my house is noisy?

That’s okay! Sharon will mute everyone’s microphone just before starting the class. This is so you are not distracted by sounds in other people’s homes (e.g. a dog barking). This also means you can play music if you wish, and this will not be heard by anyone else.

I’ve never done any kind of yoga before. Is this right me?

Sharon leads gentle movement-based yoga practices that do not include advanced or fast movements. She offers suggested modifications for some poses, and the classes are great for both beginners and advanced practitioners. However, you do need to be comfortable with getting up and down off your mat, and you will be moving your whole body. You are strongly encouraged to modify anything that doesn’t feel good, and to rest as needed. Whenever you start something new, there is a period of adjustment. With practice, you will likely find that your body moves with more ease, and your mind becomes clearer and calmer.

How will I know if I’m doing a yoga posture wrong?

There is an opportunity at the end of each live class to talk to Sharon. You can also speak to Sharon in the members-only Facebook group, by email, or in a one-to-one Zoom call.

Will this program help me lose weight?

This is not advertised as a weight loss or fitness program. However, weight loss, flexibility and increased strength are all possible benefits of moving your body and reducing stress and tension.

I attend a studio yoga class; will the Morning Reset Zoom Membership still benefit me?

Combining a weekly studio class with the Morning Reset Zoom Membership is a great idea! You will find that there are different and complementary benefits to both in-person and online classes.

Benefits of Sharon’s membership classes are the low monthly cost, daily live classes, and access to Zoom replays so you can follow along at any time. There is no commute to and from the yoga studio, and no childcare needed. Furthermore, practicing yoga with Sharon in the mornings will improve your energy and mood before you even start your day!

I’m a yoga teacher; will the Morning Reset Zoom Membership benefit me?

Yes! As a yoga teacher, you know how difficult it is to get your own regular yoga practice in. The more you teach, the less you focus on your own personal practice. This can leave you feeling guilty as well as feeling the lack of yoga in your life!

In the Morning Reset Zoom Membership, Sharon will encourage you to practice 2 or more live/on-demand morning yoga classes a week. The classes are ‘all-levels’ and you will already know how to modify them up or down as you wish.

If you are anything like Sharon, you will find that you are more consistent with a movement-based yoga practice when you commit to a morning practice. If you leave it until later, it often doesn’t happen. A morning yoga practice encourages a daily yoga habit.

What technology do I need?

You will need: Internet connection; A device that is connected to the internet (computer, tablet or smartphone); and The Zoom app downloaded on your device. Will you be able to see me on camera?

With the live Zoom class, you can choose to have your camera on or off. Either way, feel free to follow along in your PJs with bed hair!

My only internet device is my phone. Can I watch the classes on my TV?

Most modern phones and TVs can be connected, either with a cable or wirelessly. Please search Google for instructions regarding your type of phone and TV.

Do I need to be on Facebook?

No, the live classes are on Zoom. As a member, you will have access to a members-only Facebook group. However, it’s totally okay if Facebook isn’t for you – it’s not required for accessing the Zoom replays, and I will email important information to you.

Is there a refund policy? What if I’m unhappy with the membership?

You can cancel your monthly payment at any time, and will still have access to the classes for the remainder of the month that you purchased.

What if I cancel my membership, then want to re-join later?

You can cancel and re-join the Morning Reset Zoom Membership. Sharon will be happy to see you back again whenever you are ready. However, please note that you will re-join at the rate at that time.

What if I’m still not sure if the classes are for me?

Sharon would be happy to send you a 30-minute Zoom replay class as a free gift. Please email sharon@sharonrayneryoga.com.
